INSTALLER CERTIFICATION
Who is this certification for?
- Applies to individuals who install and maintain solar water heating systems.
How do you become certified?
- A minimum of four years of documented practical experience in the installation and maintenance of piping systems.
- 40-hour training course encompassing ASSE Standard 19110 (Solar Water Heating System Installer) and the Uniform Solar Energy and Hydronics Code.
- 100-question written exam covering ASSE Standard 19110 and the Uniform Solar Energy and Hydronics Code.
ASSE 19210
HYDRONIC HEATING AND COOLING SYSTEM
INSTALLER CERTIFICATION
Who is this certification for?
- Applies to an individual who installs and maintains hydronic-based heating and cooling systems.
How do you become certified?
- A minimum of two years of documented practical experience in the installation and maintenance of piping systems.
- 24-hour training course encompassing ASSE 19210 (Hydronic Heating and Cooling System Installer) and the Uniform Solar Energy and Hydronics Code.
- 100-question written exam covering ASSE Standard 19210 and the Uniform Solar Energy and Hydronics Code.
ABOUT ASSE 19000 CERTIFICATIONS
- Documented practical experience in the installation and maintenance of piping systems (varies by certification)
- Required training course(s) (varies by certification)
- Required comprehensive 100-question written exam, and closed book practical exam exam
- Certification is valid for three years
- Refresher course, written exam, and practical exam required for recertification
