HOW TO BECOME AN ASSE APPROVED SCHOOL
To become an ASSE Approved School, first make sure that your training facility meets all requirements found within the certification guidelines for each program you intend to teach.
Training centers must then complete and submit an ASSE School Application — available by request to assecertifications@asse-plumbing.org — and provide the requested documentation for review and approval by the ASSE International School/Proctor/Instructor Sub-Committee. Specific facility and equipment requirements, as well as classroom requirements, vary between certifications. Refer to each program’s certification guidelines for school requirements and items that must be submitted with school applications.
Schools must be approved for every ASSE certification program they intend to teach.
If your ASSE School Application is approved, you will be required to have ASSE Approved Instructors and Proctors teaching courses and proctoring exams. To apply to be an ASSE Approved Instructor or Proctor, the individual must be sponsored by an ASSE Approved School with the intent of teaching/proctoring for that school. Refer to the certification guidelines to review instructor and proctor requirements for each program.
