ASSE International is an ANSI-accredited standards developer and ANAB-accredited product certification body composed of members representing all disciplines of the plumbing and mechanical industries. ASSE’s product performance standards, professional qualifications standards, professional certification, and product certification programs aim to improve the performance and safety of plumbing and mechanical systems.
PRODUCT CERTIFICATION
The ASSE Product Listing Program is an ANAB- and SCC-accredited third-party product certification body with a strong focus on backflow prevention and thermostatic mixing.
PERSONNEL CERTIFICATION
Professional certification programs for the specialized segments of backflow prevention, service plumbing, infection control, fire protection, rainwater harvesting, hydronic heating and cooling, and more.

LATEST ASSE UPDATES
ASSE/IAPMO/ANSI Series 6000-2024 Now Available
ASSE/IAPMO/ANSI Series 6000-2024, the Professional Qualifications Standard for Medical Gas Systems Personnel, has been designated as an American National Standard by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and is now available for purchase. This new edition of the ASSE Series 6000 builds on the 2021 version and includes key updates, including the addition of Standard 6070 for Medical Gas Systems Design Instructors.
New Hampshire Joins Growing List of Jurisdictions Accepting ASSE 5000 Cross-Connection Control Certification Program
ASSE International is pleased to announce that, as part of recent updates to New Hampshire Regulation Env-Dw 505, the ASSE 5110 certification is now officially approved by the state as an acceptable qualification for Backflow Prevention Device Inspectors and Testers. This important development expands the recognition of ASSE International’s certification program, aligning New Hampshire with jurisdictions across the United States that accept the ASSE 5000 Cross-Connection Control Certification Program.
ASSE Seeks Working Group Members for Development of American National Standards
ASSE International is seeking working group members to participate in the development of four American National Standards: ASSE 1391, ASSE 7000, ASSE 10000, and ASSE 19000.

The 2025 ASSE International Mid-Year Meeting will be held April 15-16, 2025 at The Tributary Hub in Madison, Wisconsin. The Tributary Hub is a multi-use complex housing Plumbers Local 75 Training Center, and other non-profit organizations supporting the trades in South-Central Wisconsin. The Mid-Year Meeting is a gathering of expert individuals who influence ASSE standards, certifications, membership, and code development. Whether you’re a manufacturer, training provider, engineer, contractor, or general member, there are several meetings that will help you get a full perspective of ASSE’s program development.
