PIKES PEAK’S MOUNTAIN BACKDROP

A visitor's guide to our host city

Welcome to Colorado Springs, where stunning mountain views meet a vibrant, outdoorsy energy. Set at the base of the iconic Pikes Peak, this city has long been a destination for travelers seeking fresh air, scenic landscapes, and a balance of relaxation and adventure.

Our host property, Hotel Polaris, offers a modern and elevated setting for this year’s ASSE Annual Meeting. Located on the north side of the city, the hotel provides easy access to both the natural beauty for which Colorado Springs is known and the growing dining and entertainment options nearby.

In late October, Colorado Springs transitions fully into fall. Expect crisp, cool mornings and comfortable daytime temperatures, typically ranging from the 50s to 60s. Evenings can dip into the 30s and 40s, so layers are key. The clear mountain air and golden foliage make it one of the most beautiful times of year to visit.

Beyond the meeting rooms, attendees can explore a variety of local highlights. From the striking red rock formations at Garden of the Gods to scenic drives up Pikes Peak, the area offers countless opportunities to take in Colorado’s natural beauty. The city also features a growing culinary scene, local breweries, and charming districts like Old Colorado City and Downtown Colorado Springs.

Whether you’re here for the education, networking, or simply to enjoy a change of scenery, Colorado Springs provides a memorable backdrop for this year’s conference.

    WEATHER

Colorado Springs brings crisp, cool fall weather and beautiful seasonal scenery. Daytime temperatures typically range from the mid-50s to mid-60s, while evenings can drop into the 30s. The higher elevation means mornings and nights feel especially chilly, with the possibility of early snowfall. Layered clothing is recommended so you can stay comfortable throughout the day. Be sure to take in the fresh mountain air during your stay at the Hotel Polaris.
