I am sitting her trying to write a Newsletter for this month, but due to the lack of activity caused by our summer break in meetings, I am struggling to fill this space with information.

An event that should have taken place last week was the ASPE/ASSE Lake County Captains Ball Game at Classic Park in Eastlake. Those who attended saw one inning of play when the skies opened up and rain forced the game to be cancelled. The Captains will have to wait to make up the game with the Ashville, N.C Tourists, from the South Atlantic League.

The next event up on the schedule is a tour of the Garret A. Morgan Water Plant on July 23, 2008 at 2:00PM. If you haven’t contacted Mike Drab yet to make a reservation, please due ASAP. I would like to remind you that the cut-off date for registration for the ASSE/ASPE Annual Golf Outing at Fowlers Mill Golf Club is July 10, 2008. We are past that date, but Greg Trombold always manages to squeeze in a few late foursomes. Call Greg 216-663-8700 or e-mail him at gtrombold@hotmail.com if you are still interested in making a day of fun and games. Usually everyone winds up with a “door prize” of some sorts. We would like to make this event a smashing success, because the revenue from this event goes to both the ASSE NOH and Cleveland ASPE Chapters.
